General Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale | Allaert

These terms and conditions (the "Terms") apply to the use of the website https://www.allaert-meat.be/ (the "Site") and to any order placed with Allaert. By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

2. Products

Allaert offers perishable food products (premium meats and artisanal preparations). Visuals and descriptions are provided for illustrative purposes. Slight variations may occur due to the artisanal nature of our products (weight, appearance, and butchery cuts).

3. Pricing

Prices displayed on the Site are in euros and may or may not include VAT, depending on the store's display settings. Delivery costs and any optional extras are specified before order confirmation. Allaert reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, without retroactive effect on already confirmed orders.

4. Orders

An order is considered accepted once payment is validated and an order confirmation is sent. Allaert reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of:

  • Suspicion of fraud
  • Obvious error (pricing, stock, product information)
  • Logistical impossibility of delivery

5. Payment

Payment is processed through secure payment providers. Allaert does not store your full banking details. Your order is only prepared by our butchers after payment confirmation.

6. Delivery

Delivery is available within Belgium. Terms, estimated delivery times, and costs are indicated at checkout. We utilize strict cold chain shipping (notably via DPD Fresh where applicable) to ensure optimal freshness, though delivery times may vary depending on the carrier and operational conditions.

Receipt: The customer is required to inspect the condition of the package upon receipt and immediately refrigerate the products. In the event of an anomaly, please contact us as soon as possible with photos of the package and the meat.

7. Right of Withdrawal, Returns, and Refunds

Perishable products and/or those subject to a cold chain generally cannot be returned for hygiene and food safety reasons. Allaert does not accept returns or issue refunds for non-defective products. A refund or replacement may be offered in the case of a defective or non-compliant product (see our Return and Refund Policy).

8. Liability

Allaert cannot be held liable for indirect damages, nor for delays caused by events beyond our control (force majeure), including but not limited to: strikes, severe weather, transport incidents, or service outages. Allaert's liability is, to the extent permitted by law, limited to the amount of the order in question.

9. Allergens, Storage, and Food Safety

The customer is responsible for adhering to proper storage instructions (temperatures, use-by dates, hygiene) and cooking guidelines. For any questions regarding allergens, ingredients, or product information, please contact us prior to ordering.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site (texts, images, logos, graphic elements) is protected. Any unauthorized reproduction, representation, or use is strictly prohibited.

11. Personal Data

The processing of personal data is outlined in our Privacy Policy.

12. Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing this, the competent courts in Belgium will have jurisdiction, in accordance with applicable rules.
